Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) plus five (5) years of full-time experience in a financial aid office and an active FAAC designation, or a bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) with five (5) years of full-time financial aid experience and active enrollment in a master’s program with ongoing progress toward completion. Three (3) years of experience in a Financial Aid Office or one year of full-time experience in a Financial Aid Office with 8+ NASFAA Credentials. Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for large organizations. Strong customer service skills. Demonstrated experience presenting, training, or conducting workshops, as well as effectively engaging and communicating with students and their families.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) or more full-time years of experience in a Financial Aid Office. Supervisory experience in a Financial Aid office. Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience working with Federal Student Aid and Scholarship programs. NASFAA Credentials. Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC) designation. Experience with Oracle Campus Solutions (PeopleSoft) as a Financial Aid Management System within a higher education institution.
Brief Description of Duties:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Enrollment Success & Financial Wellness Senior Advisor to join our team. The Enrollment Success & Financial Wellness Senior Advisor will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by advising students on financial aid options, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures, and engaging in outreach activities to ensure students are aware of available resources.
Enrollment Success and Student Support
Lead targeted outreach campaigns to improve FAFSA completion, verification submission, and financial aid readiness for incoming and continuing students.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of targeted outreach efforts by staff embedded with academic advising, making adjustments to improve FAFSA completion, enrollment, and retention outcomes.
Provide individualized support to students and families to help them understand financial aid requirements, troubleshoot barriers, and complete necessary forms that impact enrollment.
Conduct financial aid reviews to help students with complex financial circumstances remain eligible and on track to enroll.
Collaborate with Enrollment Management partners to meet institutional enrollment goals, identify priority student populations, and address obstacles that may prevent students from finalizing aid.
Offer guidance on financial literacy, paying for college, and next steps in the enrollment process to support yield and retention.
Support office-wide training and service initiatives to ensure consistent, student-centered communication across the team.
Supervise Enrollment Success staff and ensure targeted populations are reached, including students embedded with academic advising units.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to staff embedded with academic advising to optimize outreach strategies and enhance student engagement.
Satisfactory Academic Progress and Enrollment Success
Monitor student academic progress to ensure compliance with institutional and federal satisfactory academic progress (SAP) requirements, regularly reviewing grades, attempted and earned credits, and completion rates to determine financial aid eligibility and support overall enrollment goals.
Provide proactive outreach and support to students who are at risk of not meeting SAP standards, including targeted communication campaigns, academic success check-ins, and referrals to campus resources that promote persistence and timely degree completion.
Assist students in understanding how SAP affects their financial aid and enrollment, offering guidance on academic planning, strategies for improving academic standing and completing the FAFSA to maintain aid eligibility.
