Our 4100 is a Cardiac Telemetry/ Renal Unit that performs peritoneal dialysis. Unit population consists of complex patients with conditions such as CHF (Congestive Heart Failure), ESRD, cardiac arrythmia, acute coronary syndrome and multiple other
comorbidities.
A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00pm—7:30am, rotating weekends and holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide nursing care based on patient-centered outcomes and standards of care based on current research and evidence-based practice.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Safely administer patient care and treatments in accordance with the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice and institutional policy.
Safely administer medications in accordance with the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice and institutional policy
Involve the patient and family (or designee) in developing a plan of care individualized to patient cultural, religious and educational needs.
Participate in on-going interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes and contribute to the improvement of care.
Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
