Senior SBC System Engineer / IMS Architect

<p>We require a <strong>Senior SBC System Engineer / IMS Architect</strong> to join our R&amp;D organization. The candidate(s) in this role will be required to work with Nokia R&amp;D members (CTO, other IMS products systems engineers / architects, product owners, software engineers) as well as product line managers (PLMs) and customer support teams to define, design and deliver SBC product capabilities for both telecom and enterprise markets.</p> <ul><li><span>Definition of SBC product and/or IMS solution level requirements to respond to new market needs, with primary focus on Session Border Controller (signaling plane or media plane)</span></li><li><span>Cooperation with Product Manager, Product Architect, Systems Engineers, Solution architects, CTO and Development Teams on defining product roadmap, feature / requirements definitions and backlog prioritization.</span></li><li><span>Identification of product gaps and weaknesses toward standards &amp; competition, addressing them into enhancements/ roadmap</span></li><li><span>Supporting design, implementation, test, sales and maintenance of product with the relevant teams </span></li><li><span>Documenting and presenting product capabilities internally and externally (documentation/ publications and presentations) </span></li><li><span>Cross-sharing technology &amp; product knowledge among various project team members </span></li><li><span>Representing Nokia R&amp;D internally and externally</span></li></ul> <p> <b>Required Minimum Qualifications/Competencies (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)</b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is minimum required.  Candidate´s with degree in computer science and / or telecom will be more relevant. Master’s degree is a plus. </span></li><li><span>At least 8-10 years of professional experience including system / solutions engineering in IMS domain. </span></li><li><span>Previous experience in software design, software development and/or testing in an R&amp;D or similar organization.</span></li><li><span>Good knowledge of Session Border Controller product(s) (control plane and media plane), their functions, components, interfaces</span></li><li><span>In-depth knowledge of IMS architecture and SBC applicable use cases</span></li><li><span>In-depth knowledge in VoIP and VoLTE architecture, entities, use cases</span></li><li><span>3GPP and IETF standards knowledge applicable to SBC signaling &amp; media services and networking </span></li><li><span>Experience and strong knowledge related to signaling plane: SIP, H.248, Lawful Interception, Diameter, HTTP(S), SIPREC, IPsec, TLS</span></li><li><span>Experience and strong knowledge related to media plane: H.248, MSRP(S), (S)RTP, RTCP, UDPTL, DTLS, TLS, DTMF, SIGTRAN, transcoding (audio, fax, video) including TrFO, MOS, DSP</span></li><li><span>English as working language</span></li></ul><p><b>Desired Qualifications/Competencies: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)</b></p><ul><li><span>Experience and strong knowledge related to OAM interfaces (CM, FM, PM): HTTP(S), SSH, (S)FTP, SNMP, NETCONF, RESTCONF</span></li><li><span>Good understanding of cloud, cloud native principles, microservices</span></li><li><span>Good knowledge of system performance, capacity and  overload control  aspects</span></li><li><span>Experience with Kubernetes, Openshift, AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMware clouds, Software Defined Networking,</span></li><li><span>Data analytics skills, understanding of Machine Learning technologies &amp; methods would be a plus.  </span></li></ul> <p></p> <p><b><span>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br/> </span></b><span><br/> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
