Description
Minimum Qualifications:
UTMB Student at least half time, any school/education program
Job Duties:
- Undertake a general (visual/written) survey of UTMB’s historical anatomical, pathological and surgical pathology specimen collections
- Make recommendations for improving the organization of the collections (e.g. numbering, labelling and their physical organization)
- Triage/label specimens in need of conservation
- Undertake temporary/remedial conservation of specimens (training and materials available)
- Replace outdated/damaged labels with new labels
- Oversee the transfer of the collections data (text/images) from MS Excel to Past Perfect (museum software) utilizing training materials
- Support museum-related activities
- Performs other duties as required
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
