Job Description

We are hiring a Specialist, Physical Security to join our team at Walmart.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, conducting patrols, and implementing security protocols.

Compensation
Salary range: $21.00 USD hourly plus shift differential

Schedule

• Day shift: Monday-Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30pm
• Evening shift: Monday-Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm

Requirements:

• 1 year experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services or related field.

Education
High school diploma/GED  

Job Duties: 

• Ensures compliance with regulatory and corporate policies, such as PCI, PII, OSHA, and Fire Code, by addressing compliance-related issues, reporting and correcting violations (e.g., maintaining eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits), and implementing effective solutions.
• Supports the development and implementation of safety and security protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training programs. This includes providing recommendations for improvements, ensuring adherence to corporate security guidelines, and managing incident command during emergencies (e.g., domestic violence, active shooter situations).
• Implements security systems and strategies, responding to alarm activations, prioritizing actions in emergencies, and providing tactical responses to life safety events (e.g., CPR, First Aid). Investigating threats and security breaches, assessing visitor threat levels, and escorting critical information and merchandise are also key tasks.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners is crucial for promoting a safe working environment. This involves tactical emergency responses during incidents, collaborating with teams, and communicating effectively with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
• Complete work assignments by utilizing company policies and resources, identifying priorities, and addressing improvement opportunities while adapting to change. Compliance with ethical standards and integrity is essential, requiring the implementation of related action plans and assisting management in resolving compliance issues.
• Develop and communicate processes to meet business needs, monitoring progress, and fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
