Mental Health Worker I - NW Health Springdale

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• 1 year of related clinical experience (has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field of mental or behavioral health)
• Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Record and document vital signs
• Supervise meals
• Record and document meal percentages
• Encourage daily patient self-care (hygiene)
• Prepare and supervise snacks
• Perform and document safety checks on each patient every 15 minutes
• Perform and document room/contraband checks to ensure safety
• Plan and implement therapeutic activity
• Complete risk prevention measures (fall, allergy)
• Assist in admit/discharge process
• Assist patients with basic activities of daily living
• Create a safe, therapeutic environment
• Build rapport and use de-escalation when necessary
