Status: Full Time/Exempt
Position Summary:
The Director, Regional Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the technical operations for Summit Broadband within their assigned region. This leadership role ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service for both commercial and residential customers by overseeing the support, installation, and maintenance of Summit Broadband's network infrastructure. The role will have direct oversight of the Outside Plant Construction, Headend/Central Office operations, and Residential and Commercial Field Teams responsible for installation, network maintenance, and repair.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and oversee all regional technical operations to support Summit Broadband’s network infrastructure.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring efficient installation, maintenance, and repair processes for residential and commercial customers.
• Lead and direct the activities of direct reporting organizations, including:
- Outside Plant Construction Teams
- Headend/Central Office Teams
- Residential Field Installation and Service Teams
- Commercial Field Installation and Service Teams
• Establish and implement best practices for field operations to improve quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with network engineering, customer care, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Analyze operational performance and develop action plans to meet and exceed KPIs, including service uptime, installation timelines, and customer satisfaction.
• Drive employee engagement and development through effective leadership, training programs, and performance management.
• Manage regional budgets, ensuring financial goals and resource allocation align with company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Proactively identify operational challenges and implement innovative solutions to optimize network performance and customer experience.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all regional teams.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in cable/telecommunications operations with a proven track record of leading technical teams.
• Strong leadership experience with direct oversight of large, multi-functional field teams.
• Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction, Headend/Central Office operations, and field installation/maintenance processes.
• Excellent understanding of broadband networks, network architecture, and telecommunications services.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in a leadership role at a regional cable or broadband company.
• Certifications related to telecommunications operations or network technologies.
Working Conditions:
• Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
• Flexible schedule to support 24/7 operations and address urgent network issues.
• Office and field environment; ability to conduct on-site visits and inspections in varying conditions.
Must be able to pass criminal, MVR, and drug testing
