We are seeking a detail oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team at Steele Hill Resorts.  

The Laundry Attendant is charged with the care and operation of the laundry room and linen stores, that supply the needs of the  Housekeeping Department and its guests. The ultimate goal of the Laundry Department is to process linen quickly, cleanly and efficiently.  Attendants are responsible for operating, cleaning and maintaining the machines while keeping the work area clean and orderly.

Responsibilities

• Properly opens up and shuts down laundry facilities as necessary (lights and machines on/off).
• Properly sorts all linens into their respective categories.
• Understands and properly executes all necessary washing and drying cycles on machinery.
• Conducts quality control visual inspections on all linen being processed to find and remove damaged or otherwise unserviceable linen.
• Folds cleaned and completed linens to appropriate time and consistency standards.
• Bags and replaces cleaned and folded linens in the proper shelving locations.
• Monitors laundry chemicals and other expendables for supply levels, and alerts management if restock is needed.
• Monitors laundry equipment for proper function, and alerts management if maintenance is necessary.
• Conducts linen inventory, as directed.
• Recognizes issues that require Manager attention, and alerts Manager On Duty as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possesses ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and via radio.
• Possess a drivers license in good standing, and well-functioning vehicle.
• Ability to endure strenuous physical activity, including but not limited to: lifting and carrying heavy items up to 50 pounds, traversing stairs, ramps and step stools while carrying heavy loads, and engaging in repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Possesses good eyesight.
• Possesses the ability to work at maximum efficiency without supervision.
• Schedule: Tues. - Sat. 
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
