Job Summary:

Plans and performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations on various products in standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.

  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Equipment Maintenance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

  • Typically requires a HS Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, typically 3 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Will need to successfully pass Collins Aerospace training program which will occur in the first month of the job

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronics manufacturing processes

  • Demonstrated ability to follow work instructions
