Senior Software Engineer

Job Duties:

1) Designing, developing, documenting and implementing solutions for Glooko’s Diabetes Data Management platform;

2) Writing code that meets functional and non-functional specifications considering scalability, modularity, maintainability, reusability, and testability aspects of it;

3) Designing, developing and overseeing unit tests for solutions end-to-end in an agile development environment with emphasis on effective communication involving delivery
milestones with team and project stakeholders;

4) Developing, testing, or modifying programs, based on and related to user or system design specifications;

5) Optimizing complex data models for understandability and performance;

6) Collaborating with members of the design team – both technical as well as business owners -to identify requirements and design new products or extensions to existing products;

7) Providing technical oversight to the development process including code reviews and mentoring of the technical team;

8) Delivering solutions end-to-end with a focus on hitting delivery milestones. Experiencing in an agile development environment and understanding of agile/lean delivery methods isrequired;

9) Designing, developing and overseeing unit tests to ensure application logic is fully exercised for each application component;

10) Communicating effectively with team and clients on stages and project completion goals or dates;

11) Technology/Tools used include Java, Ruby on Rails, API development, RSpec, Git, NoSQL (MongoDB and DynamoDB), Ajax, AWS services, AWS Lambda, Jenkins, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 3 years of systems engineer in developing and implementing applications
  using Java, JSP, Servlets, HTML, Java Script, XML, Ajax, JSON, Oracle,
• E-commerce: ATG and build tools – Maven, Ant. 2 years of
  experience in developing and deploying solutions using MongoDB,
  MySQL, Node JS, React JS, Metero JS, Python – full-stack and across
  stacks, AWS Lambda.
