Job Identification:

  • Reports to:            Senior Director, Risk and Compliance 
  • Department:         Strategy and Compliance
  • Location:               Alexandria, VA preferred/Remote eligible if outside the DC metro area
  • Grade:                   18
  • FLSA Status:          Exempt

 

Statement of Purpose

This position exists to support NIB and NIB’s Associated Nonprofit Agencies (NPAs) in achieving AbilityOne Program compliance and regulatory objectives through the provision of training and technical assistance at NPAs and their base supply centers (BSCs). Additionally, assist agencies with  understanding and complying with other laws and regulations for government contractors and nonprofit agencies.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or related discipline from a regionally accredited university or college.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be acceptable. 

 

Training and Specialized Knowledge

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of AbilityOne Program or vision rehabilitation preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal contractor requirements preferred
  • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations preferred
  • Familiarity with BSC operations, ETS, or inventory management preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
