Job SummaryPeoplefun is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to assist in managing the human resources function for the entire PeopleFun studio. This Generalist will develop, administer, contribute to and/or coordinate a variety of human resources activities.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully lead and implement day-to-day HR workflow operations in a distributed environment, providing both in-person and virtual support. Involved in all aspects of employment, including onboarding/orientation, benefits administration, compliance, leaves of absence, pay inquiries, performance management, terminations, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise staff job descriptions annually and upon vacancy; maintains studio org chart. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, keeping leadership advised of potential issues and recommending/implementing solutions as appropriate. Handle internal complaints and investigations.
  • Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) in Workday, by entering employee data and ensuring accuracy of data. Compile/prepare routine and ad hoc reports from database. Train and educate staff regarding various HRIS modules (i.e. self service, time & attendance).
  • Lead administration of health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations. Process required data/documents through BerniePortal and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Educate employees, dependents and applicants regarding plan provisions. Coordinate COBRA, HSA and voluntary benefit plans. Conduct open enrollment and employee presentations, as needed.
  • Act as a resource for payroll staff to ensure compliance with laws, HR and benefit policies by state. Prepares staff compensation. 
  • Coordinate administration of workers compensation, income replacement compensation (short term disability, Paid Family Leave), and unemployment claims.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Assists with ad-hoc projects and initiatives across the studio as-needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Human Resources; preferably with multi-state compliance experience.
  • Expert level proficiency in Workday HRIS
  • Outstanding project & process management skill set with demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality results in a complex, dynamic business environment.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, personal and professional integrity, and ethics
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate/present across stakeholders, from entry level to executive
  • Demonstrated initiative and proactive problem solving skills within a fast-moving environment
  • Prior experience navigating complex & confidential situations with confidence & finesse.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent customer service & communication while managing competing assignments & responsibilities.
