THE JOB:
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is looking for a Pastry Cook to join the team. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by showcasing your culinary artistry. From mixing and baking to crafting stunning desserts, you’ll set the stage for excellence with every creation, combining your passion for baking with precision and skill.
THE STARTING RATE: $28.0026
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Show your culinary passion by crafting various menu items while following set recipes and standards
Proofing bread and baking morning Danish
Comfortable using scales and metric system for measuring ingredients
Standing for long periods and push/ pull and lift up to 50 lbs
Consistently maintain proper stocking, cleanliness, and sanitation of back-of-house areas
Ensure guest safety by following proper food handling procedures
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Effective time management skills in baking, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Is comfortable in a restaurant kitchen and with the use of culinary tools, equipment, and techniques
Describes themselves as detail-oriented
Ability to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
