The role

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Maintenance Supervisor to lead our efforts in Hazel Park on the 2nd shift. This role is responsible for supervising the maintenance department in our assembly sequencing facility. The ideal candidate is an innovative, data-driven leader with a passion for promoting teamwork and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, plan, and supervise daily maintenance activities across shifts, ensuring effective scheduling, team development, and performance management.
• Support production by minimizing equipment/tooling downtime and scrap through preventive and predictive maintenance, spare part management, and system upgrades.
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by maintaining facilities, enforcing company, state, and federal safety standards, and monitoring MSDS requirements.
• Oversee maintenance projects and spare parts strategies to achieve equipment performance goals (e.g., MTTR < 30 minutes) and maintain disaster recovery plans.
• Manage and report on maintenance budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) activities.
• Perform hands-on maintenance support and facility upkeep as needed to meet operational goals.
• Accurately document all maintenance activities and adhere to company guidelines, including emergency procedures.

 

Who you are

• Minimum 2-year degree in one or more of the following: Maintenance, Electronics, Mfg., Industrial, Mechanical, Supervision and 4 years of experience in Automotive Industrial Maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a maintenance supervision position.
• Good analytical skills.
• Technical understanding of machine and their components.
• Other skills; welding, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, PLC, conveyors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, AutoCAD).
• Experience with Maintenance software packages.
