Overview
Join the Utah State University Nursing Department as a Nursing Simulation, Skills Laboratory, and Clinical Coordinator (Program Coordinator III)! This vital role involves coordinating clinical partnerships and student clinical scheduling. You'll provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of high-fidelity, high-technology simulations and nursing skills development. Responsibilities
Coordinator duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Manage operations for simulation and skills laboratories, overseeing student clinical experiences.
- Maintain regular on-site office hours.
- Plan schedules for student clinicals, skills labs, and simulation activities.
- Facilitate software updates, maintenance, and user training for Laerdal, LLEAP, SimPad, and related technology.
- Conduct orientation and trainings for part-time clinical staff and students.
- Develop short- and long-term plans and recommendations for resources and budgets.
- Identify and resolve problem areas in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Interact with vendors to evaluate and select hardware, software, and supplies.
- Setup, maintenance, and inventory of high-tech simulators.
- Procure, install, configure, and maintain simulation equipment and computers.
- Manage databases of clinical partnerships, supplies, policies and procedures.
- Assist in management of Standardized Patients, if utilized.
- Support Nursing Program Director in coordinating community service events.
- Attend faculty, college, and in-service meetings as directed.
- Work schedule may vary based on simulation/lab needs.
- Central contact for coordinating and collaborating with USU statewide nursing simulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by department head and program director.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of relevant work experience; or a master’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
- Proficiency in technical aspects and familiarity with simulation in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with current nursing practices, concepts, principles, and skills.
- Effective communication skills to engage with students, clinical partners, supervisors, and the public.
- Prior experience in clinical education and/or nursing simulation.
- Maintenance and repair of simulation manikins to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.

Advertised Salary
Minimum $51,000; Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefitsADA
