The annual base salary for this position ranges from $178,900.00 in our lowest geographic market to $376,600.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for visionary and value-driven Director of Intelligence to lead our data science and machine learning teams in support of digital transformation across product merchandising and apparel and footwear design and developmentAs the Director of Intelligence in the Consumer Product & Innovation (CP&I) organization you will lead the strategic application of data science and machine learning to drive rapid value delivery through improved decision-making and automated workflow across the Nike product creation lifecycle. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON 

This role will lead, support and develop the Intelligence team members, manage priorities, and deliver results across boundariesThe successful candidate is an inclusive and empowering technology leader with a history of building trust, tight partnerships and rapid value delivery. 

 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Leading, mentoring, and managing the cross-functional Intelligence team of data scientists and machine learning engineers  

  • Defining and executing the Intelligence strategy aligned with business objectives across product merchandising, apparel and footwear design and development 

  • Collaborating with product managers and business stakeholders to identify and transform business opportunities into value-centric data science requirements leading to data-driven solutions that deliver measurable business impact and drive growth 

  • Guiding the design and delivery of AI-powered features, decision-support tools, prescriptive/predictive models and recommender systems 

  • Ensuring robust model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring practices 

  • Collaborating with product merchandising, apparel and footwear design and development business and technology teams to ensure scalable, secure, and integrated insights solutions 

  • Delivering data-driven insights in alignment with cross-functional and multi-year roadmaps and modern industry trends 

  • Championing the use of data science and machine learning as core enablers of merchandising and product creation excellence 

  • Attracting, developing, and retaining top talent across the Intelligence function 

  • Cultivating a culture of trust, innovation, and experimentationLeading teams to explore new and emerging technologies and how those can help deliver business value at scale 

 

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH 

As a leader in the organization, you will partner closely with business and technology leadership, product managers, principal engineers, and peer leaders across Merchandising and Product Creation teams to manage priorities and drive alignment. 

 

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • 10+ years in advanced analytics, data science, machine learning, 5+ years in a leadership role 

  • Proven experience managing technical teams in advanced analytics, machine learning or applied data science within a product or technology organization 

  • Extensive experience with cloud tools for data science, machine learning and modeling, visualizatio
