LivaNova is hiring a Senior SW Designer – Front End Web for the design and development of the Essenz Perfusion Data Management web-based application.

Join LivaNova and follow its innovation roadmap through the Cardiopulmonary area, where the new Essenz Perfusion System supports the perfusionists and the entire heart team in delivering truly patient-centric perfusion therapies and continuously improve clinical practice.

You can be part of a success story, following new features and algorithms development for the new Essenz Patient Monitor application that allows detailed recording and processing of perfusion data during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures.

Responsibilities:

• UI Development: Lead the design and implementation of complex user interfaces using React/Vue, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• State Management: Proficient in state management libraries such as Redux or Context API or RxJS to manage the state of the application effectively.
• Component Architecture: Design and implement reusable and scalable React/Vue components that contribute to a consistent and maintainable codebase.
• RESTful API Integration: Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
• Responsive Design: Ensure the responsiveness of web applications across various devices and browsers through responsive design and mobile-first development practices.
• Performance Optimization: Implement performance optimization techniques, such as code splitting, lazy loading, and efficient rendering, to enhance the overall user experience.
• Testing: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability and quality of frontend code.
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to translate design mockups and requirements into functional user interfaces.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development, including React/Angular updates and new technologies, to bring innovative solutions to the team.

Requirements:

• Master Degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering
• Fluency in English is a must have.
• Consolidate experience (5+ years) in SW development of front end web application
• React.js/Vue.js: Expertise in building single-page applications with React.js/Vue.js and its ecosystem.
• JavaScript/ES6+: Proficiency in modern JavaScript, ES6 and above.
• State Management: Experience with state management libraries like Redux or React Context API.
• Responsive Design: Knowledge of responsive design for web applications across various devices and browsers.
• Performance Optimization: Implement performance optimization techniques, such as code splitting, lazy loading, and efficient rendering, to enhance the overall user experience.
• CSS Preprocessors: Familiarity with CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less.
• RESTful API Integration: Ability to integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
• Git: Proficient in version control using Git.
• Build Tool: Exposure to build tools such as Webpack, Babbel, Vite and CI/CD technologies
• Testing Frameworks: Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or others.
• Code Quality: Understanding of code quality tools and best practices.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
• Security: Knowledge of security technologies and associated frameworks for single sign on (OpenID Connect, SAML, OAuth)
• Experience in Agile environments
