THE JOB:

The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International. As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent guest experience. Using your culinary techniques, you will provide high-quality pastry and baked goods to our guests from all over. In your role, you will partner with front-of-house staff to create WOW memories the guests will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

• Work with a diverse team of enthusiastic people in a FUN and fast-paced environment to achieve company goals
• Show your passion in the pastry industry by crafting various pastry and baked goods while following set recipes and standards
• Supervise the pastry cook team while monitoring guest flow and estimating daily food requirements
• Conduct employee evaluations and address attendance records while maintaining communication with the restaurant’s service team on menu related matters.
• Engage with guests and employees by smiling and hearing their story
• Ensure guest safety by supervising proper food handling procedures

A GREAT CANDIDATE:

• Two (2) years of pastry production experience in a culinary environment
• Previous culinary management experience
• Associates degree in pastry arts or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Has high energy and positive attitude
• Has strong communication skills
• Has strong knowledge of standard kitchen equipment
• Can handle multiple tasks at one time
• Can maintain knowledge of menu items
• Has high attention to detail
