Punch Press Operator (1st Shift)

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking 1st shift Punch Press Machinists to join our Operations team in Indianapolis, IN! This position is responsible for setting up and operating the punch press operation.

 

This position will be available on First Shift (6:00am – 2:30PM)  with a pay range of $18.50/hr to $27/hr. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Mandatory overtime as needed.

 

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Set up press according to the specifications, install/set the proper dies, align, and verify the punched produce product
• Prepare, load, and unload material for operation
• Check width, length, and angles of metal before and after machine punches, forms, notches frame parts
• Read and understand work orders/drawings to produce required parts for finished products
• Inspect parts for defects after being punched and act if needed
• Make equipment adjustments
• Report production and quality data
• Ensure operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

 

WHAT WE PREFER

• Mechanical/machine manufacturing experience
• Basic math skills
