Job Overview:
Join our growing health-tech company as a Senior Data Engineer, where you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing the new Data Management platform for Brook. You will work closely with a dynamic team on innovative projects and collaborate across departments to drive data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize data warehousing solutions
Design, implement, and monitor ETL processes for various data sources ensuring efficiency and scalability
Conduct and lead capacity planning initiatives to guarantee the scalability and optimal performance of data infrastructure
Architect and implement innovative solution architectures for sophisticated data engineering projects
Perform advanced data analysis, integrate analytics tools, and present findings to support data-driven decision making
Prepare and manage data for use in both prescriptive and predictive models, ensuring high accuracy and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, drive data engineering initiatives, and deliver tailored data solution
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, providing mentorship to junior engineers
Continuously improve engineering processes and performance using Agile/Scrum methodologies, leading by example in best practices
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, with demonstrated leadership in complex projects.
Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Java programming languages.
Extensive hands-on experience with SQL database design, optimization, and management.
Proven experience with AWS, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB in large-scale environments.
Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, architecture, and industry best practices.
Experience leading teams or contributing to Agile/Scrum environments in a senior capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant data engineering certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Data Engineer).
Extensive experience in the health-tech industry, particularly in managing and analyzing healthcare data.
