About the role

Overview

 

JST is currently seeking a Program Manager/Technical Lead to support our team. The Program Manager IV / Technical Lead is a senior leadership position responsible for managing multiple projects and technical workstreams supporting our USAF customer. This role provides overall program leadership, technical oversight, strategic planning, delivery management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful execution of software development, sustainment, modernization, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational initiatives.

This is a full-time remote position with periodic onsite support and occasional travel. JST offers a complete benefits package, a collaborative work environment, and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

 

PM Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple USAF customer system projects and technical workstreams
  • Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, staffing, and delivery performance
  • Provide technical leadership across software, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams
  • Lead Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD initiatives
  • Recommend technologies, tools, and modernization strategies
  • Oversee Red Hat Linux, Microsoft, VMware, and cloud environments
  • Conduct executive briefings and stakeholder status reviews
  • Ensure quality standards throughout all project phases
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and program compliance activities

 

PM Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience supporting program management, technical project management, software development programs, IT initiatives, or systems engineering efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) required. 
  • SecurityX (CASP+), CGRC/CAP, or DAWIA Program Management Practitioner highly preferred. 
  • Experience managing Agile software development teams.
  • Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise infrastructure and cloud-hosted environments.
  • Experience supporting Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMware environments.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience supporting federal or Department of Defense contracts and programs.
  • Experience with program budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Experience supporting software sustainment and modernization portfolios.
  • Experience driving organizational transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, ITIL Foundation, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, ServiceNow, VMware, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, AWS, Azure, Power BI, Agile program management, organizational transformation, and executive communications experience.

 

Required Clearances and Screenings

  • Ability to obtain & maintain a Secret clearance. 
  • MUST be able to successfully pass a drug and background check
