HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

As the Director of Healthcare Careers, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and assisting the Chief HR Officer/VP  for all recruitment and employment initiatives supporting all positions within Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH).Responsible for overseeing Workforce Development, Talent Acquisition and PreEmployment Services for the entire entireprise; including planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies and employment functions to support the hiring process.

 

The Director of Healthcare Careers is responsible for: 

  • Develops, implements, and maintains systems to track, analyze, and report information pertinent to employment, recruitment, and retention issues. 
  • Analyzes and establishes recruitment events scheduling, including job fairs, social and educational events, and other events that introduce TMH to prospective colleagues.
  • Works with Center for Healthcare Careers staff members and TMH department leaders to maintain current critical needs awareness and forecast future critical needs expected in the healthcare industry to create immediate and long-term recruitment sourcing plans.
  • Serves as a resource to TMH departments in using recruitment systems and employment-related HR policies and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains internal and external recruitment strategies to meet the organization's employment needs.
  • Reviews and establishes advertising and internet and social media resources required to market TMH positions and provide internet candidate searches.
  • Develops and manages department budget to support the recruitment strategy.
  • Directs academic and community outreach programs to support strong relationships with local and national programs that can directly affect recruitment success.
  • Promotes programs to promote healthcare professions within local middle and high schools.
  • Manages the academic affiliation process, support staff members, and outside resources for this role.
  • Determines work procedures, expedites workflow, and optimizes processes.
  • Oversees the onboarding operations for TMH colleagues and non-colleagues (Contractors, Vendors, Travelers and Volunteers).
  • Supports the maintenance, management, and administration of TMH's ATS (iCIMS), HRIS (Lawson), and ERP software (Infor).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in human resources (HR), business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Human Resources may substitute directly related professional experience for required education on a 1-year:1-year basis. Experience substituted for required education will not be applied toward the minimum experience requirement below.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of direclty related work experience, including employment law and regulations, interviewing, sourcing, measurements, etc. Experience credited toward this minimum requirement will not be substituted toward required education above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in healthcare career development, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of employment regulations, law, interviewing, sourcing, measurements, etc.  
  • Strong knowledge of human resources, recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, human resources information systems (HRIS), and applicant tracking syst
