Job Title: Business Processes Senior Consultant 

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Senior Consultant at our Newtown Square, PA location to drive business consulting by translating the customer's vision into solutions.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Map business processes to solution requirements. Support the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Drive change management to achieve business transformation objectives. Support end-to-end solution design and configuration across all relevant solutions (on-premise, cloud and hybrid), applying state-of-the-art methodologies and standards. Participate in transition planning of customer solution landscapes. Drive deployment of best practice business processes for specific LoBs or industries. Support pre-sales activities. Perform solution reviews and feasibility studies. Support escalated projects. Occasionally take over responsibility as a (sub-)project lead or team lead for a service delivery. Support line manager(s) in people development tasks. Deliver customer workshops and trainings. Support in partner-led projects to ensure ecosystem and customer success. Introduce SAP and industry leading practices based on pre-existing templates, standard content and experience. Create project documentation and documentation of delivered services. Support the evolution of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas; can be owner of a service and/or supports updates to the portfolio. Support in solution testing and issue resolution. Mentor Business process consultants.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following: 

• ABAP programming, ABAP CDS, ABAP Analytical CDS, BW cubes, and Info Providers; 

• OData services development and error root cause analysis; and 

• Cloud Data Integration Development for Data extraction with OData And ABAP Gateway For S/4HANA Cloud and BW systems. 

Experience must involve one (1) year in the following: 

• Define Custom Code Governance Standards for customers based on SAP S/4HANA development best practices;  

• ABAP performance optimization and Restful ABAP programming; 

• HANA performance tuning and root cause analysis; 

• Build extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP); 

• Extensibility options including In-App and Side-by-Side Extensions on SAP BTP; and 

• Info Object Development for SAP BW. 

 

Travel: Position requires up to 30% domestic travel to various and unanticipated client sites.
