You’ll partner cross-functionally with manufacturing operations and sales teams, delivering thoughtful solutions to complex challenges all while developing your knowledge of the medical device industry. The Manager, Global Planning (SME1 – Individual Contributor) will lead the global demand planning for both commercial and NPD programs within the THV Business Unit. They will be responsible for all platform demand planning within the BU. They will work with cross-functional teams, including regional supply chain partners, as well as clinical, marketing, quality, R&D, and finance groups. Additionally, the role requires supply planning responsibilities for certain product lines within THV’s product portfolio.

How you will make an impact:

  • Responsible for Global Demand Planning (including US-specific Demand Planning) and supply planning for the THV Business Unit.

  • Compile a rolling 24 - month global demand forecast for the THV Business Unit monthly.

  • Create a rolling 24-month global supply plan for assigned product lines within THV’s portfolio on a monthly basis.

  • Schedule and lead meetings with sales, marketing, finance, sales operations, and regional partners to create consensus and generate a global demand and supply plan for assigned product lines.

  • Analyze, document and communicate changing demand trends to key stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Work with regional supply chain, Distribution Center and logistics partners to create, execute and monitor a regional stocking and inventory replenishment plan for assigned product lines.

  • Partner with key Business Unit stake holders for new product launch strategy planning and implementation of new product introductions.

  • Serve as a liaison between Global Planning, Manufacturing/Distribution Operations, Regional Planning, Finance and Commercial groups.

  • Produce statistical forecasts using advanced planning application (JDA). Compare statistical forecasts to financial plans and highlight gaps for management review.

  • Prepare monthly demand statements with detailed analysis and plan- to- plan comparisons.  Provide detailed analysis and insight into changing demand trends to supply planners, management and commercial teams.

  • Create Master Production Schedules for assigned product lines

  • Work with manufacturing sites to ensure execution of plans

  • Work closely with regional Demand Planners to provide system- user support, including the implementation of software enhancements.

What you will need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of previous related experience in supply chain or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria

  • This role is required to be onsite. Selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Edwards campus in Irvine, CA.

  • Travel: 10–15%

  • Experience from a regulated industry, preferably in medical devices

  • Proven successful project management skills

  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

  • Excellent communication, documentation and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiation and relationship-management skills

  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards

  • Extensive understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to local and/or global supply chain including FDA and ISO laws and regulations

  • Ability to transfer essential knowledge and mentor other team members on specialized skills

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
