Group Product Manager, Delivery Operations (Contract)

Insider is hiring a Group Product Manager, Delivery Operations (Contract) to join our Story Delivery Group, playing a pivotal role in leading our teams responsible for CMS, Cloud Engineering, and Syndication.

The Role & Team:

As a Group Product Manager, Deliver Operations you will provide leadership and guidance to our teams focused on CMS, Cloud Engineering, and Syndication infrastructure. This role is dedicated to serving our large digital-first newsroom, ensuring a seamless site and developer experience, and optimizing our global audience's off-platform experience. This role reports directly to the VP of Product for Systems and is designed to be remote-first.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the Story Delivery Product line team and team members.
• Manage and guide Product Managers and teams responsible for Cloud Engineering, Content Management, Story Syndication, and Internal APIs.
• Act as both an Individual Contributor and Manager (Player/Coach).
• Bring expert-level experience in shaping the vision and strategy for CMSs, Cloud Engineering, and Syndication.
• Effectively lead and oversee projects within the Delivery group.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the broader Product Team.
• Utilize your experience from multiple successful projects, experiments, and quarterly goals that drove key metrics.

Qualifications and Additional Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a strong interest in conducting industry research and advocating for technical best practices.
• Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across different time zones with engineers, product managers, and directors.
• Embrace a passion for testing, building, and promoting new technologies to benefit the engineering team, business, editorial stakeholders, and the organization at large.
• Exhibit proactive problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively with strong time management abilities.
• Foster a team player mentality while maintaining high team morale.
• Maintain a deep belief in the importance of journalism.

Salary & Benefits: 

• Salary: $77-$91 per hour based on skills, experience, and competencies.
