The team you will join will offer interesting diversity of global clients and projects in Environmental Infrastructure facilities, Oil &amp; Gas, surface and underground mine infrastructure including dewatering, material handling, fuel and lube, maintenance shops, and pumping stations, industrial facilities, water and waste water industries, landfills and contaminated soil sites.</p><p>Are you looking for an opportunity to make an impact with an established engineering consulting firm that values its employee’s enthusiasm, technical contributions, and a great culture to allow for growth in your career?  Do you have the desire to learn and the drive to excel and thrive in an engaged, collaborative environment?  We encourage you to apply for this opportunity.</p><p>Location: Depending on candidate preference, this individual can work in our Tempe, AZ, South Jordan, UT or Houston, TX offices.</p><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul><li>Development a variety of I&amp;C design documents such as: design drawings, technical specifications and design basis calculations with a high level of competence and minimal oversight.</li><li>Demonstrate clear and prompt communication and foster leadership</li><li>Work independently and collaborate in cross-discipline team to meet project goals. </li><li>Compliance with Codes and Standards, governing regulations, industry practices, and internal procedures.</li><li>Develop and perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and technical specifications.</li><li>Mentor junior team members in technical excellence and career growth.</li><li>Review of instrument and control systems vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers/designers.</li><li>Participate in the development and design review of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&amp;IDs).</li><li>Prepare and review control deliverables such as Control Narratives, Cause and Effect diagrams, System Architecture Diagrams, Instrument Location Layouts, Installation Details, Wiring &amp; Interconnection Diagrams, PLC Layouts, and Loop Drawings.</li><li>Prepare and review instrument datasheets, I/O lists, instrument index, instrument selection, hazardous area classification </li><li>Provide configuration of and develop programming for controls equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, DCS Systems, SCADA, etc.</li><li>Participate in client and project review meetings.</li><li>Prepare technical bid evaluation and attend FAT.</li><li>Collaboration with project management/engineering discipline to develop project budgets, schedule, prepare scoping documents, design criteria and list of project deliverables. </li><li>Promote engineering professionalism and maintain positive relationships internally and externally. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.</li></ul><p>Who You Are</p><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) from ABET accredited program; or associates degree and relevant industry experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree</li><li>7-10 years of relevant experience</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Instrumentation Engineering is essential.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of applicable design standards governing corresponding design work, such as API, NFPA, ISA, PIP, IEC, IEEE, ISO, NACE, NESC.</li><li>Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.</li><li>Demonstrated high-level of self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.</li><li>Works independently with minimal oversight and provides guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication and people management skills. </li><li>Proficient in SPI (Intools), AutoCAD, and other instrumentation design tools.</li><li>Strong understanding of control systems (PLC, DCS) and industrial networking protocols.</li><li>Demonstrate advanced ability to work with others in supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.</li><li>A team player attitude and be able to work with multiple projects.</li><li>Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, computations, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effec
