Examples of duties

This position supports a wide range of services for older adults, including information assistance, case support, training activities, and program coordination. As a Aging Case Aide 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Call Assistance: Handle information and referral calls and direct consumers to the proper staff
• Record Management: Maintain consumer files, oversee expungements, and track weekly obituary information for case updates
• Case Support: Assist care managers by completing scheduled telephone calls for ongoing case management
• Program Coordination: Support PA Medi activities including trainings, volunteer recruitment, outreach tasks, and report submission
• Appeal Assistance: Help consumers with filing insurance appeals and completing required forms and packets
• DOM Care Oversight: Conduct visits, monitor providers, and support moves for individuals in the Domiciliary Care program

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• It is essential that applicants for this role do not possess an active insurance license.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Aging Case Aide 1; or
• Two years of public contact work, including one year in a human services program; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
