Position Overview

The Finance & Accounts team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Corporate FP&A Operational Partnering Manager! The person in this role will report to the Director, Corporate FP&A. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing the operational business partners with financial support: development of planning assumptions, analyses of the different initiatives with preparation and communication of the RFAs, enrichment of the data collection and systems. They will also develop the consistency and automation of the models and reporting tools and to lead segment profitability reporting and issue relevant analysis and insights!

• Work with the business partners to assess the financial viability of key projects, at various stages of development, to help prioritize the projects for resource allocation and stage gate review
• Work in collaboration with a wide array of functional areas, including technical communities, operations, and commercial teams, to build holistic financial models, incorporating risk assessments from all relevant subject matter authorities
• Incorporate market-technology trend analysis, innovation project type assessments and portfolio structure along with valuations to build cases in support of the projects
• Support the compilation of capacity plan and operational performance reporting critical metrics
• Develop written procedures and financial models for RFA preparations and define the standard calculations for global financial metrics for use in assessing and communicating the benefits of an RFA
• Ensure alignment between the RFA process and the Plan / Strategic Plan development
• Develop and issue segment profitability reports on a periodic basis. System owner of Impact 3c software, supporting other users and ensuring accurate maintenance.
• Support and structure process to value the different operational performance (OPI) improvement project and their reporting. Maintain consistency of the analyses methodology and ensure tracking of the planned performance
• Support and consolidate requests and analyses related to capacity understanding and improvement across the regions, including the impact of capital investment projects

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Materials or Mechanical Engineering, Finance, Math, Economics and/or a related field
• Minimum of seven years of relevant finance experience, or a minimum of 4 years of finance/FP&A with additional 3 years in operations
• Strong management and leadership skills with a proactive participative management style, demonstrating curiosity and passion about Novelis business while staying well organized and structured.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including facilitation of groups toward deliverables
• Good presentation skills to present valuation assessment results to key collaborators, including projects leads, CTO, regional presidents, C-level.
• Ability to travel, including internationally (10%)

Preferred qualifications

• MBA
• Experience with manufacturing / engineering based projects
• Advanced excel skills
