The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a QMS and Quality Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Provide direct supervision to hourly production employees and QMS staff.
- Provide QMS expertise to the site for CSS and Orthodontic products.
- Support the integration of the Solventum, Dental and Site QMS processes.
- Maintain robust training process
- Execute and effective CAPA management process
- Lead internal audit program and help represent site during external audits.
- Document control management including but not limited to drawings, procedures, etc.
- Ensure effectiveness for ISO 13485:2016 and MDSAP certificate, and other regulatory compliance requirements for products manufactured at Monrovia.
- Inspire integrity by upholding and complying with Solventum policies and guidelines
- Provide leadership for assigned operations by fostering cross-functional teamwork and communicating goals of the organization to employees
- Review production issues with the quality and engineering teams and use available resources to resolve process, maintenance, equipment and related technical problems
- Determine priorities on a daily basis, allocate work assignments, communicate expectations, and monitor workflow
- Review department expenses, overtime hours, and scrap and yield loss to recommend cost savings programs
- Conduct department crew meetings to review team performance and celebrate successes.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide necessary coaching, feedback and disciplinary actions
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities
- Willingness to work off shift and to be on-call during weekends as needed by the manufacturing teams
- Complete administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control and vacation planning
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND two (2) combined years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment.
OR
- High School Diploma/GED from AND seven (7) combined years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Five (5) years of Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Supply Chain experience
- Minimum one (1) year of Supervision experience
- QMS Experience
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- MS Office proficiency
