The Role
As a Sr. Planning Engineer, Infrastructure Planning you’ll play a critical role in designing and planning network equipment, infrastructure and collocation solutions that enable scalable, future‑ready network expansion for Forged Fiber 37. This role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on planning and network design offering the opportunity to influence long‑term network architecture while partnering closely with engineering and implementation teams to turn plans into reality. Work Location- Hybrid in Denver, CO or Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

Design and optimize network architectures and equipment layouts to support scalable fiber network growth

Plan, design, and allocate central office and remote collocation space to enable network evolution and migrations

Develop clear, build‑ready planning handoff packages for engineering and implementation partners

Anticipate and model network capacity requirements using demand forecasts, inventory data, and strategic inputs

Perform network analysis to identify optimal architectures that support investment and funding decisions
You will operate as a self‑directed individual contributor, bringing strong technical judgment, clear communication, and a high standard of quality and integrity while collaborating effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Required Competencies & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience
