About the role

As a Software Engineering Senior Advisor on the Pharmacy Technology team, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering cloud‑based solutions that power high‑impact pharmacy systems. You’ll provide hands‑on technical leadership across the full lifecycle—from design through deployment—while guiding teams to build secure, scalable, and resilient platforms. This is an opportunity to influence architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and help shape the future of pharmacy technology through modern cloud and integration solutions.

In this role you’ll:

  • Lead technical design and delivery of distributed, cloud‑native solutions that support pharmacy business outcomes

  • Translate user and business requirements into scalable, maintainable system designs

  • Provide hands‑on technical guidance and best practices for deploying solutions in AWS‑based cloud environments

  • Drive enterprise integrations using modern, industry‑standard technologies and frameworks

  • Identify, prevent, and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring performance, security, and reliability

  • Partner closely with product owners, architects, and agile teams to deliver high‑quality solutions

  • Review designs and code to ensure alignment with architecture standards and engineering best practices

  • Mentor and support team members through day‑to‑day technical leadership and knowledge sharing

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and cloud adoption strategies

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in software engineering or application development roles

  • Strong experience designing and developing applications using Java and/or Python in cloud environments

  • Proven experience with AWS cloud services and distributed system design

  • Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and service‑based architectures

  • Experience working with API gateways and enterprise integrations

  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and structured data formats (XML/JSON)

  • Experience with NoSQL databases

  • Familiarity with agile/scrum development methodologies

  • Experience using modern development tools such as JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes

  • Exposure to event‑driven architectures using platforms like Kafka

  • Experience with Gen AI IDE like Cursor, Qiro, Github CoPoliot 

  • Background supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑level applications in regulated environments

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

  • MongoDB experience is a plus


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 130,200 - 217,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
