Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

We are potentially hiring for a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L/D RN) must have the following qualifications:

• A graduate of an Associate, Bachelor or Master’s program of Registered Nursing. The institution will be from a National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program.

• In addition to BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), S.T.A.B.L.E, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or higher (Advanced Fetal Monitoring). Valid, unrestricted, RN license at least 1 state, territory, or commonwealth of the US.

• Applicants must have active, current, and unrestrictive registration as a professional nurse in any State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Continuously employed in the practice of Registered Nurse for 3 years prior to the start of work at the MTF, with at least two years as an RN in a high-risk Obstetrical Unit. Experience in the full spectrum of care to include L&D, antepartum, triage, circulating during C-sections, and post-partum care.
