Salary/Position Classification
- $53,000-$55,000 annual, Exempt
- 40 hours per week
- This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.
Purpose of Position
• Coordinate the activity courses offered by the Kinesiology program in the Education, Health, and Behavior Studies department
• Support the varsity athletics courses offered by the Kinesiology program in the Education, Health, and Behavior Studies department
• Manage internships and field experience placements and processes for students in Kinesiology (Tracks B, C, D, and E) and Esports
Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership and Administration of Activity Courses
- Recruit and support instructors, prepare schedules, and provide instructional resources.
- Develop and enforce safety policies for activity courses.
- Introduce new courses and offer development opportunities for instructors (e.g., CPR/First Aid).
Supervise activity instructors, assess instructors, and actively promote activity courses.
- Monitor instruction and professional behavior of instructors
- Assist in resolving conflicts that may arise between students and instructors
- Monitor safety of instruction
- Oversee activity courses program and instructional assessment
- Evaluate program instructors
Equipment and Facility Maintenance
- Ensure safety and integrity of equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate equipment requests, facility rentals, and liability waiver distribution.
Support Varsity Athletics Courses
- Maintain enrollment records and communicate course details to student-athletes.
- Serve as liaison with Athletics for varsity courses.
Manage Internships and Field Experiences
- Update internship policies, maintain placement records, and manage background checks.
- Evaluate internship sites and supervisors, and ensure agreements are in place.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a program coordinator (intramural, basic instruction, or recreation) on a university campus
- Experience teaching at the university level
- Trained in CPR and First Aid
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with with various kinds of sports equipment
