Summary of Job Duties:
The Mental Health Clinician duties include providing individual, couple and group counseling, emergency mental health services; consultation with the University community; outreach presentations, clinical supervision of graduate students; clinical disposition activities; staff meetings; coordination of specific area (e.g. group, outreach, training, embedded, eating disorders, etc.); clinical documentation; obtain and maintain licensure in the state of Arkansas in relevant discipline; and other duties as assigned by the CAPS director, associate director for clinical services, or assistant directors. The position has routine shift hours, infrequent overtime, or shift rotation. This position holds significant responsibility as a “remote essential” role. In challenging situations such as inclement weather or emergencies, when the Pat Walker Health Center or campus needs to close, our dedicated team of CAPS professionals will be on standby to serve our campus community’s needs through telehealth if deemed appropriate for telehealth services.
