The opportunity

 

As a Data Privacy Manager in a Cybersecurity area, you would become a part of Data Protection and Privacy team where you will play a pivotal role in developing the strategy for evolving Data Privacy team.
 

As a Manager within our Cyber team, you will be able to participate in Global projects assigned to Data Privacy domain supporting various sectors and regions. We are looking for a Data Privacy Manager with demonstrated experience in developing data privacy strategies and implementing solutions to provide data security, privacy and integrity, a professional who will lead the Data Privacy team with focus on Market Research for projects, people management and business development. 
 

EY’s Cybersecurity Practice functions as a center of excellence to assist our consulting practices in planning, pursuing, delivering and managing large, complex full lifecycle initiatives along with providing expertise in leading practices, methods, and resources in the space of Technology Consulting. The Data Protection & Privacy competency within the Cybersecurity practice is a critical competency that supports our clients across all industry sectors.  

 
Your key responsibilities

 

As a Manager in the Data Protection & Privacy competency, you will help Clients define technical and business requirements for data privacy solutions as well as develop business processes and policies related to data privacy topics. This includes helping Clients to identify, understand and protect their most critical data throughout the data lifecycle.
 

You and your team will implement privacy solutions and advise Clients on multiple data privacy challenges. The key responsibilities on this position are as follows:

• Market Research for open procurements related to DPP engagements,
• People Management including performance tracking, skill development, career guidance, escalation management, travel process support, team budget management (including training budget),
• Business Development including client relationship building, DPP project leadership, handling data privacy project planning activities, consolidating team engagement in projects,
• Management reporting including accountability for utilization tracking, engagement planning, training progress, customer relationship management,
• responding to Data Privacy Request for Proposals (RFPs),
• stay up to date with the industry trends, Data Privacy standards, regulations, and related technologies,
• prioritizing team tasks, ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes, managing risks arising during project execution, work with local area contacts for project risk management,
• Contribute to project success by acting as a subject matter expert.

We are looking for experienced managers ready to further develop their privacy compliance, privacy technology and consulting skills across a variety of business processes, who can work independently but also as a part of a team. The future Privacy Manager will be participating in a cross-functional initiatives and collaborating across various global and local domains. The role will require interacting with project managers and partners from all over the world.
 

To qualify for the role you must have

 

• 5+ years of experience in data privacy projects implementation,
• 3+ years of experience in privacy team management,
• Experience in planning of privacy projects, defining timelines, and effort estimation,
• Thorough understanding of various privacy concepts, advanced GDPR knowledge is a must,
• General knowledge on all privacy-related processes: Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Register of Processing Activities (ROPA), Data Subjects Rights, Privacy Audits, Incident Management, Privacy Policies and Procedures, Data Mapping, Data Classification, Data Retention etc.),
• Advanced English (verbal and written) – min. C1,
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
   

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

• Related Education (Cybersecurity, Legal, IT) and Certificates (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDPSE),
• Ability to design and implement effective privacy program, introduce privacy management process transformation and automatization,
• Hands-on experience with data privacy management tools, e.g. OneTrust, TrustArc, Enactia, PrivacyPerfect, BigID, RED INTO GREEN, E
