eBilling Sr. Analyst

We are looking for a Sr. Billing Analyst to join our Finance Team. As a member of our team, you'll be essential to driving the efficiency and effectiveness in Order to Cash operations. Reporting to the Director, Billing – you will help operate and build best practices, scalable Billing & AR function to support our rapid growth. You will also have opportunities to assist in system implementation and related optimization projects.

The Sr. Billing Analyst will support strategic billing activities of more complex nature, difficult reconciliations, reporting & analytics, and customers engagements. The ideal candidate is a highly detailed professional who doesn’t mind handling numerous issues at the same time, has a passion for finding solutions to complex problems, has excellent math and excel skills, and respects deadlines. This individual must possess a high level of integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Submit electronic invoices via various electronic customer systems in the required electronic invoice format.
  • Review client billing guidelines adding billing rules and notes in matter management/eBilling system(s) to establish client billing requirements printed with prebills for billing compliance.
  • Manage client implementations, matter management, and maintenance of electronic customer systems, access, and processes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues that may arise during submission process; coordinate with Operations and Billing Analysts for resolution and maintenance associated with client eBilling requirements; submit appeals for reduced and rejected invoices.
  • Track status of invoices uploaded to reduce/eliminate invoice rejections and reductions.
  • Provide updates and financial data to AR Billing Manager for outstanding AR and short payments, as needed.
  • Manage outstanding A/R to ensure timely collection.
  • Assist with follow-up on partially paid invoices to assure the company collects A/R in full; collaborate with AR Billing Manager to obtain necessary authorization for write-offs in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete research and ad hoc projects and requests from customers and management

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • An effective verbal and written communicator to work with both internal and external customers.
  • A solution focused individual, who understands the data and systems and makes recommendations for improvements
  • A detail-oriented individual that loves numbers and data.
  • Must have passion for research and problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently, decisively, and timely.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required with at least five years of related experience.
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience required.
  • Ability to take full ownership of various entry level accounting functions.
  • Eagerness to work in a dynamic, high growth, and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks; strong organizational and time management skills required.
  • Forward thinker, ability to complete work assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Must have strong telephone skills to work with customers on their accounts, invoices, and past due balances.
  • Candidates should have well-developed Microsoft Office skills-including Excel proficiency—and knowledge and experience with eBilling vendors (e.g. Avalera).
