Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Direct procurement policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
• Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures
• Collaborates with other departments to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions; to ensure clear requirements documentation
• Measure and manage the vendor and supplier cost, quality, delivery, support, capacity and reliability
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Technical field - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Materials, Manufacturing Management, etc.
- 8+ years relevant materials management and purchasing experience and specific experience in process improvement preferred
- Knowledge of server/workstation thermal products and solutions (air and/or liquid cooling); or, third party branded networking switches experience preferred
- Experience in procurement, forecast, and inventory control
- Strong analytical, marketing and project management skills - a drive for results and a history of successful execution on projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to help direct product development and presentation
- Ability to develop business relationships from scratch, both internal and external to Supermicro
Salary Range
$124,000 - $166,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
