Description

 We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accountant in Fresno, CA!  Come join a dynamic property management team.


  

Our corporate accountant works under the direct supervision of the Controller and Chief Financial Officer performing all accounting functions for multiple clients. Requires accuracy, written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, time management, ability to work with others and positive and friendly customer service. 


  

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AS OUR CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT:

• Understand auditing principals to provide auditor requested transactions and reports.

• Review auditor reports and financial statements to post entries into accounting system.

• Accounts Payable - prepares and processes invoices, check requests, and weekly check disbursements; assigns general ledger account codes to invoices.

• Accounts Receivable - enters rent and other deposits daily.

• Posts journal entries as needed for reclassification or corrections.

• Maintains accurate records and complete documentation for all transactions.

• Assists with month-end close, including:

• account reconciliation, review and reconcile bank statements, make any adjustments to the general ledger if applicable  

• prepares financial statements and management reports for review, distributes financial and management reports after review by the Controller and Chief Financial Officer

• reconciles subsidiary records to general ledger 

• Reviews and processes Move-Out Statements for Refund or Billing.

• Provides guidance regarding invoices and supplemental reports to resident manager and other personnel.

• Assist accounting staff to resolve transaction questions, reporting and reconciliations.

• Conduct research, answer questions and resolve other staff and vendor inquiries.

• Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.

• Completes or assists with special projects.

• Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

• Responsible to keep up with office related software for job development and productivity due to new technology.

• Ensures communication is consistently clear, precise and professional through email, phone calls, and other means to fully transfer understanding.

• Flexibility to adjust to unexpected demands and work to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Must have 1+ years of current and proven financial accounting experience
  •  Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Outlook, Quick books or similar programs. 
  • Able to work in office M-F 8am-5pm (40 hours per week)
  • Valid driver's license and active auto insurance
