Location: Hermitage, TN
Job Type: Full-Time (Days, No Weekends)
Compensation: $79,000 - $110,000 per year (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Case by case basis

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse Manager to lead daily operations and clinical functions of the Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center. This role manages a team of 45 direct reports within a 73-FTE department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and overall operations of the Emergency Department.
• Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and patient safety standards.
• Manage personnel activities, including hiring, training, and coaching staff.
• Provide strong leadership to support the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care.
• Address patient, visitor, and physician concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care delivery.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, ensuring compliance with unit-specific standards of care.
• Develop and implement department goals, safety procedures, and operational workflows.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) – Preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State RN license – Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Required within 30 days of hire

Experience:

• Minimum 1-3 years of clinical leadership experience – Required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience – Required

• Trauma Level: III
• Team Structure: 45 direct reports, 73 total FTEs (including PRN staff)
