THE OPPORTUNITYThe Sr. Benefits and Compliance Program Manager role will be key to creating innovative, sustainable policies that will guide Truss to stay current with evolving business. You’ll work collaboratively with Truss leadership to implement People and Culture initiatives while communicating change management to the wider organization. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in compliance and benefits, along with a willingness to embrace innovation, explore new approaches, and adapt to diverse methodologies within Truss. They will be joining a cross-functional People & Culture team that focuses on implementing best practices to deliver the best employee experience to the organization.
This is a fully remote opportunity with occasional travel and reports to the VP of People.
The salary range for this position is $126,000 to $164,000.
The Sr. Benefits and Compliance Program Manager will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes in three key areas:

Truss’s compliance requirements are being proactively managed and areas of risk are escalated for mitigation.

  • Ensuring management of organizational critical tasks are managed : Anti-Harassment training, Affirmative Action Plan annual updates, EEO reporting, ACA all remain current
  • Stays current on changing state and federal compliance and HR policy changes and provides necessary updates, education and process changes
  • Partner with our Compliance consultant to research 8(a) graduation requirement; propose and build timeline for necessary changes or implementations

Delivering a consistent and deliberate communication strategy around changes to Truss in regards to People & Culture.

  • Development and management of the change management strategy.
  • Maintain and manage the communications to the Truss Leadership Team in addition to Truss-wide around P&C initiatives
  • Point of contact for Tilt & other Benefits vendors and ensuring employees are satisfied with the services being provided and pivoting when necessary
  • Research, review, and vet alternative benefits brokers & identify best future partners

3. People & Culture provides innovative, sustainable programs, policies, and initiatives that employees can rely on for timely delivery.

  • Actively initiates and maintains open communication with leadership to strategize impactful employee initiatives that align with the organization's goals and values
  • Updates policies to stay current with evolving business needs e.g. travel policy, sabbatical policy

THE SKILL SET

  • Develops and delivers short- and long-term recommendations to ensure benefit programs meet the needs of a diverse workforce, while maintaining compliance with all legal requirements
  • Well-versed in strategic implementation of Human Resource practices (re: benefits, compliance, etc) to accommodate organizational changes
  • Experienced in developing and implementing People & Culture programs that focus on employee engagement, and a remote first organization
  • Excellent project and time management skills to juggle competing initiatives and deadlines
  • Possess strong verbal and non-verbal communication to effectively gain internal stakeholder buy-in, manage vendor relationships, and communicate People & Culture changes effectively. Experience communicating and collaborating with C-suite is beneficial
  • Works best in an ever fluctuating and collaborative environment to support a cross-functional matri
