Sr Director Cloud and Microservices Architecture

Essential Functions

• Lead, design, and implement the overall cloud architecture and microservices of Clinisys lab solutions
• Closely collaborate with engineering, services and customers to identify and prioritize key use cases that drive Clinisys lab solutions architecture 
• Drive and share Clinisys’ lab solutions capabilities, roadmap, and envision with customers how Clinisys can transform and drive co-invention in their business.
• Partner with a team of deep technical experts to identify/create solutions that orchestrate the Clinisys Platform, cloud technologies, DevSecFinOps, AI using modern app development principles
• Generate for the Clinisys sales and support teams the materials showcasing the business of system architecture
• Choose the right cloud services, automation tools, microservices and providers to meet the needs of the system
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the system. Manage the deployment and lifecycle of the system into independent, self-contained microservices.
• Increase customer value by partnering with Clinisys product development and customer services teams to build and improve Clinisys lab solutions and expand our product offerings across a broader range of customer needs and verticals
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills needed to be successful

• Demonstrated knowledge of AI open-source ecosystem
• Proven understanding of Responsible AI practice
• Solid understanding and experience in SaaS and HPC solutions
• Strong understanding and experience in basic development lifecycle technologies (SDLC, CICO, DevSecOps..)
• Understanding and experience in Health Technologies as it relates to Compliance, Data Management, LIS, LIMS
• Successful leadership and people skills including effective delegation of responsibilities.
• Planning skills to determine and meet departmental and company objectives by being creative, open minded and results driven..
• Ability to successfully work and communicate with clients and other departments in an effective, positive, and team spirited manner across multiple disciplines, time zones, and geographies
• Skillful at organizing, prioritizing, and making and executing decisions.
• Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in development and completion of work projects.

Required Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
• 4+ years of technology-related account management experience.
• 5 years of experience in SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS sales or consulting
• 5 years of experience with AI/ML applications and positioning
• Cloud Architecture and Technologies
  • Cloud Managed Services (Databases, IPC, Serverless Microservices, etc.)
  • Distributed Microservice Architectures
  • Cloud Management including Finance Management
  • Cybersecurity management and detection

Preferred Experience & Education

• Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology
• 4+ years’ experience and skills with Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS, GCP…)
• Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems as well as with analytics, AI, and machine learning technologies

Supervisory Responsibilities

•  2-7 Direct Reports up to 40 Indirect Reports

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $133,000- $186,000 for annual base salary.  The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on numerous factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
