Applications Engineer – Single Pair Ethernet

<p>onsemi and the High Performance Sensing team is looking for an applications engineer to support and enable our fast-growing Single Pair Ethernet product line. Work with industry leaders to enable next generation wired interface solutions for onsemi.</p> <ul> <li>Provide technical applications support to customers</li> <li>Help debug product and system issues with customers designing in our products</li> <li>Engage with customers as a technical leader and expert to help win new opportunities </li> <li>Understand product system applications</li> <li>Design and validate product evaluation boards</li> <li>Verify critical specifications through bench testing and characterization</li> <li>Define, design, and validate reference designs and product demo boards</li> <li>Write promotional articles highlighting new products</li> <li>Work closely with the Marketing Team to create technical marketing collateral </li> <li>Create high quality datasheets and application notes </li> <li>Train Sales and Distribution on existing and new products</li> </ul> <ul> <li>BSEE degree or comparable technical degree</li> <li>5 years of hardware applications engineering experience (device and/or system level)</li> <li>System engineering expertise and understanding of Single Pair Ethernet or related field</li> <li>Solid understanding of in-vehicle networking and/or industrial sensor communications</li> <li>Experience designing and bench-testing PC boards</li> <li>Familiarity with a scripting language (Python preferred)</li> <li>Experience running bench equipment to debug circuits in a lab setting</li> <li>Experience with embedded systems (programming firmware)</li> <li>Clear and concise communication skills at all levels within onsemi and with customers</li> <li>Experience in FPGA programming</li> </ul> <p></p> <b>onsemi </b><span>(Nasdaq: ON) is driving disruptive innovations to help build a better future.
