About the role

As an RN Women’s Center you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider’s medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned. 

 

Work Schedule: 0.5 FTE. Day/Evening, every third weekend. Combination of 8s and 12s.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing. 
  • Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment.  Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment. 
  • Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry
  • Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
  • STABLE required within 1 year of start date
  • NRP required within 6 months of start date
  • Minimum of one year of RN postpartum experience
  • Minimum one year RN labor & delivery or special care nursery experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
