About the role

Title:

Project Manager (TS/SCI)

The position will serve as a Project Manager (PjM) on the Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) HOPE contract. The PjM will ensure that all Research & Development projects that are assigned to them are on-schedule, on or under budget, and are on course to deliver compliant deliverables.

The PM is also responsible for the management and direct supervision of all KBR employees on the projects in their charge.

Responsibilities

    - Determine and define project scope and objectives

    - Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

    - Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

    - Track project costs in order to meet budget

    - Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

    - Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

    - Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

    - Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

    - Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed

    - Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Requirements

    Conscientious and responsible

    Outstanding communication skills

    Excellent organizational and leadership skills

    Proficient in MS Office

    In depth understanding of contract management procedures and relevant legal standards

    Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods

Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Positions require U.S. Citizenship and active TOP SECRET security clearance.

  • Degree: Bachelor’s in a Technical or Management Field

  •     5-8 years of project management and related experience

  •     Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  •     Proven ability to solve problems creatively

  •     Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

  •     Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

  •     Excellent analytical skills

  •     Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

  •     Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Basic Compensation:

$105-159k

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. 

Additional Compensation: 

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
