Overview:

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a flexi/prn Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical Unit to work on an as needed basis.

Our 24-bed Medical-Surgical Unit serves patients from nine surrounding counties, with surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, plastics, ENT, wound, and post-op. Nurses here enjoy:

• Patient-to-nurse ratios of 5–6:1

• Shared decision-making through an active Unit-Based Council

• Self-scheduling with established weekend and holiday rotations

• A supportive, collaborative team environment where your voice matters

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)

• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Certification/Licensure

• Registered nursing License (Required)

• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience

• None required
