About the role

Summary

Our Facilities Maintenance Associate plays a very important role in keeping our Warehouse in working order. They are responsible for all preventative maintenance and repair of the facility/equipment to keep our space running efficiently, effectively, and safely. The Facility Maintenance II position is responsible for more than one HUB facility.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform/oversee/track preventative maintenance and repair of facility/key equipment to include electric, plumbing, HVAC systems, building construction and janitorial services
  • Oversee maintenance of grounds including sprinkler systems, storm water treatments and landscaping
  • Repair, oversee equipment repairs and maintenance including pallet wrap machines, conveyor, battery chargers, dock levelers, overhead doors (manual and power), racking systems and system compressors
  • Utilize and work with outside vendors on all major electrical and mechanical equipment, janitorial and grounds maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment per state's safety and health laws (Occupational Safety and Health Administration-OSHA and Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act-WISHA)
  • Participate in the monthly safety committee meetings
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with through your job
  • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned

Work Environment

Work will be performed mostly indoors and outdoors, when necessary.

 

Physical Demands

  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 165 lbs.
  • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
  • Climb stairs/ladder occasionally
  • Work indoors and outdoors

 

Expected Hours of Work

 

This is a full-time position. Days/hours of work vary and may include weekends.

 

Travel

None

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintain a valid driver license with acceptable driving record
  • Minimum three (3) years repair and maintenance of gas, diesel and propane engines
  • Minimum three (3) years working fleet electronics, hydraulics and air brake systems

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in fabrication, welding, fiberglass and sheet metal repair
  • Operate forklift and warehouse sled

 

Compensation

 

  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
