Title: Application Engineer II
Location: 1 Washington Park, Newark, NJ 07102


Duties: Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, SQL, SOAP/REST Web Services, and Lightning. Automate processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, and E-mail Alerts. Collaborate with team members and other departments in defining business requirements for optimal use of Salesforce functionality. Identify areas of improvement and functional gaps in Salesforce Applications. Create and maintain technical documentation including process documentation, naming, and commenting conventions, and Salesforce policies and procedures. Evaluate, install, and administer third party apps and provide first-tier support. Mentor junior team members. Position reports into Newark, NJ office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed.

Basic Qualifications


Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and seven (7) years of experience as an Application Engineer or any occupation/position/title involving experience in application development. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:

Five (5) years in each of the following:
- Salesforce experience in Sales Cloud
- Salesforce Development including Custom Objects, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce, Lightning Component frameworks, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and Migration Tools
- Web technologies such as HTML 5, CSS 2, jQuery, and JavaScript
- Object-oriented analysis and design
- Salesforce point and click configuration using workflows, validation rules, sales process setup, roles and profiles, reports, and dashboards

One (1) year in each of the following:
- Working in Agile environment
- Using JIRA, Rally, DOORS, or SVN
- Applying knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
