Senior manager freight carrier management

Introduction to the job
Acting as the primary interface with ASML’s transport suppliers, the Freight carrier manager shapes and delivers the carrier strategy and leads continuous improvement efforts to safeguard quality and delivery performance across the network. In this role, you lead a team of logistics supplier managers and you are the senior escalation point for all carrier-related matters.
Role and responsibilities
The freight carrier manager is responsible to:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Logistics Supplier Managers to drive engagement
Ensure ASML products are delivered in line with contractually agreed SLAs, with strong focus on quality and on‑time delivery
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and translate them into ambitious yet achievable carrier development roadmaps
Drive supplier steering in line with the established ‘Supplier Account Team (SAT)’ and ‘GQLTCS’ approach
Lead the internal End-2-End On Time Delivery improvement forum to meet established performance targets, interfacing with internal stakeholders
Identify and realize cost‑reduction opportunities through capacity optimization and improvements to internal ways of working
Provide transport market intelligence and insights to internal stakeholders to support strategic and operational decision‑making
Education and experience, skills
10+ years of relevant experience in logistics within complex, international supply chains
Having experience with air freight is a must for this position
Master's degree in supply chain/logistics/similar
Transport industry knowledge, focusing on air and ocean freight
Project Management skills e.g. green Belt or equivalent is an advantage
