Job Summary

Location: Waterbury, CT
Facility: 300-bed Acute Care Hospital
Team Size: 22 Direct Reports

We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Manager to lead our dynamic Patient Services Team in an acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for the execution of company programs, team leadership, and ensuring high standards in patient meal service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement patient food service programs tailored to clinical guidance and patient population needs
• Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor a team of 22 patient services staff
• Ensure patient meals comply with medical diet orders and food preference guidelines
• Monitor and drive improvement in patient satisfaction related to food services
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting agency standards, including HIPAA and patient rights policies
• Participate in or lead quality initiatives such as patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and hospital-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities

Qualifications:

• Associate degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in food services or related field; or
• Bachelor’s degree in food service technology/management or related field
• Preferred: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD)
• Minimum of 1 year of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care environment
• ServSafe® certification preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using electronic medical records and diet office systems
