Job Summary:
Overview:
Operates a fork-lift for loading and unloading materials on trucks as well as line pulling. Also responsible for the recording of material movement and other warehouse associated duties. Responsible for placing product containers on conveyors for production. Starting pay $22.36/hr
Essential Functions:
- Operate fork-lift for the purpose of moving product and material
- Responsible for recycling product and placing product containers on production line
- Work consistently in a safe manner.
- Move product within the premises using a spotter truck, forklift etc.
- Perform basic order selection, picking, palletizing, and loading functions for finished product orders, which includes the following:
- Inspect trailers to be loaded to ensure company standards are met.
- Decide proper load stacking and sequence following FIFO.
- Labeling of products
- Verify product codes, lot numbers, and item counts.
- Prepare correct picking and loading records to facilitate accurate transportation documents and customer receiving documents. This will ensure accurate accounting of product and lot numbers, proper customer invoicing, as well as complete and updated finished product inventory.
- Maintain safe operation of transportation equipment. Lock and chock trailers for personal safety.
- Ensure safe storage of product to eliminate safety incidents.
- Maintain order and arrangement of finished product in storage areas to ensure integrity and quality of the finished product; ensure areas are neat and clean.
- Maintain and manage product inventory using inventory management software
Skill/Experience Requirements:
- Certification to operate a fork-lift to a level of loading and unloading product
- Proficiency in applicable computer software
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
